I'm Nagaraj Neelam — a Software engineer building scalable backends and AI-agent systems, four internships and a lot of production bugs into the craft.
I'm a backend engineer who's spent the last year across four different production codebases — enterprise data pipelines, decentralized health records, serverless AWS infrastructure, and AI-agent platforms, mostly figuring out how to keep them running.
Lately most of my work sits where backend systems meet LLMs: multi-agent architectures, retrieval pipelines, and the unglamorous plumbing auth, fallbacks, rate limits, that makes an AI product reliable enough to actually ship.
Outside of internships I build my own things ~ a CFO copilot, a backend scaffolding CLI, a multilingual healthcare voice assistant and compete in hackathons, a habit that's landed a few finalist placements along the way.

Four internships, one thread — backend systems built to hold up under real data, real users, and real failure modes.
Virtusa Consulting Services Pvt. Ltd
Built a full-stack market intelligence platform (FastAPI + Next.js) with a 7-stage async pipeline aggregating data from 9+ external source families — news, financial, social, GitHub, and security — into LLM-synthesized, citation-backed PDF reports.
Built a multi-layered prompt safety system for risk-scoring and injection detection, plus a 4-tier database fallback (Supabase → Postgres → SQLite) that improved resilience during LLM and external API failures.
Secure Blink Tech Private Limited
Managed a large distributed, multi-tiered serverless backend with 50+ microservices; diagnosed and resolved 12+ production issues and contributed to the AWS SDK v2 → v3 migration for improved compatibility and maintainability.
Designed and developed business logic for AWS Marketplace integration, working through broadly-defined specifications to deliver the end-to-end integration flow in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
National Institute of Technology Warangal
Designed MediLocker, an AI-powered decentralized health locker built on a distributed storage architecture; standardized health records into HL7 FHIR-compliant EHRs aligned with ISO 13606, HIPAA, and GDPR.
Implemented distributed storage using IPFS, DID-based authentication, Hyperledger Fabric, and an AI-powered OCR pipeline to improve secure storage, interoperability, and auditability of electronic health records.
Vitacure Healthcare Private Limited
Designed and developed REST APIs for an intelligent caregiver booking system inspired by ride-hailing platforms, matching patients with nearby caregivers based on location, availability, and service requirements.
Built backend modules for caregiver discovery, booking assignment, and booking state management using Node.js, Express.js, and PostgreSQL, with secure authentication and role-based authorization.

Autonomous AI CFO platform for real-time cash flow intelligence. 7 specialized LangGraph agents handle forecasting, anomaly detection, and scenario simulation over a 13-week horizon — a shared-state architecture lets them reason together instead of in isolation.
Nine competitions, reverse-chronological — the wins and the near-misses both count.
Built a follow-up calling agent for drug evaluation.
Built an LLM cost & quality optimizer, organized by Portkey.
Built a fintech agentic AI solution, organized by Google Developer Groups.
Developed a financial copilot among 1,600+ participants.
Placed out of 4.5 lakh+ participants.
Worked on Landsat data optimization.
Built a real-world health-tech solution, organized by Genzeon.
Placed out of 27,000+ participants with 3 merged PRs.
Placed among 5,000+ teams for a legal-tech platform.
